Careers

Most of our leads started as testers here.

We hire game testers at both labs several times a year, usually ahead of busy seasons. Experience helps but isn't required. Patience, clear writing and a good eye are more important than how many games you own.

Roles we hire for

What to expect

Testing is on-site in Norfolk or Wilmington; we don't do remote testing for unreleased builds. Shifts are mostly daytime, with some evening shifts around launches. Full-time staff get health coverage and paid time off. Project-based testers can move to full-time, and many do.

Applying

Email careers@tidewaterqa.com with your résumé, which lab you'd prefer, and a few sentences on a bug you've found in a game (any game) and how you'd describe it to a developer. That last part matters more than the résumé.

We reply to everyone, though it can take a couple of weeks during busy periods.
