Outsourced game QA

Functional, compliance, compatibility and accessibility testing for console, PC and mobile games.

Tidewater QA is an independent test house. We've been finding bugs in other people's games since 2015. We have two labs on the East Coast and about 330 testers, leads and support staff between them.

We are not a publisher and we don't make games. Testing is the whole business.

What we test

FunctionalFull-pass, regression, ad hoc and smoke testing. Daily build verification.
CompliancePre-submission checks against console platform requirements so your cert submission goes through first time.
CompatibilityPC hardware matrix (GPUs, CPUs, drivers, OS versions) and a mobile device library.
AccessibilitySubtitles, remapping, colour vision, difficulty and UI scaling. Reports against common guidelines.

How engagements usually work

Short engagements (a few days of compatibility, a one-off accessibility review) are fine. So are long-running embedded teams on live games.

Security

Unreleased builds stay on locked-down lab machines on segregated networks. Badge-access test floors, no personal phones on the floor, NDAs for everyone. We can also test on your own kit over remote access if your builds can't leave the building.
